GRI Educational Initiatives

In addition to assisting the funding of the GRI-Giacomo Bologna Scholarship Fund, GRI takes many opportunities to educate the American press and public on the values of real authentic Italian products and cuisine.

GRI is behind myriad seminars and discussion panels that take place at restaurants and institutes such as the Italian Culinary Institute in New York City.  Education has always been at the core of GRI's mission as this is the best way to divulge correct  information on authentic Italian cuisine to the American public and press.  GRI has already made much progress in educating America, however there is always more work to be done.

GRI will often organize demonstrations of specific products (usually from our corporate members).  Many times, GRI will organize panel discussions on the direction of Italian cuisine in the United States.  The regionality of Italian cuisine is a hot topic of discussion in Italian culinary circles nowadays, and proves to be the topic of conversation at many GRI dinners attended by its members.
