STEFANO MILIONI
A native of Piedmont, Italy, Stefano Milioni has been in the publishing and communication industry for more than thirty five years. Fluent in English, Spanish and French, Milioni is a consummate communications specialist.
Since the late '70s he began writing articles on wine and food for several magazines and the Rome daily newspaper, Il Messaggero, where he edited a weekly column for over twelve years.
In 1985 he published a guide to and catalog of all Italian DOC wines and of 1.500
Italian wine estates, entitled Catalogo Generale dei Vini d'Italia. A second edition was
published in 1987, followed in 1989 by Italian V.Q.P.R.D. - Catalogue of the
Denominazione d'Origine Wines, published by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture.
Other books and writings followed in recent years, including Il Caffé and Columbus Menu,
the history of Italian cuisine after the first voyage of Christopher Columbus.
From 1992 to 1996 Stefano Milioni has been publisher and editor in chief of CUCINA Magazine, the first American magazine on Italian food and wine.
His last books are La Guida Argento di Roma and La Guida Argento di Firenze (published by Gallimard), Viaggi e Assaggi (published by Il Corriere della Sera), Viaggio in USA (published by Rizzoli), Itinerari d'Europa (published by Il Corriere della Sera), Artigianato, Sapori e Tradizioni d'Italia (published by Touring Club Italiano), Il Romanzo del Vino (Published by Mondadori/Piemme).
At present time Stefano Milioni is editor of Bibenda Magazine, Duemilavini and I Ristoranti di Bibenda (all published by the Italian Sommeliers Association)
